Hastings is the ideal shopping destination.  Park in one of the central city pay and display areas (click here for a City map) and you’re right in the City Square complete with green space and art work.  It's compact (you can walk from one end to the other in 20 minutes) and has a variety of shops on offer - from worldwide chain stores to unique local boutiques.  In fact, time it right and you can even park right outside your favourite shop!

Hastings is one of those great New Zealand towns seeped in the tradition friendly customer service where “good morning” and “have a great day” is never too much trouble to say.
