Join us for an early celebration of Matariki at the Harcourts Hastings City Night Market.
Matariki signals the Māori New Year which is a time of renewal and celebration - celebrating new life, remembering those who’ve passed and planning for the future. It’s also a time to spend with whānau and friends – to enjoy kai (food), waiata (song), tākaro (games) and haka. The Harcourts Hastings City Matariki Night Market will showcase a wide range of local vendors selling their carefully crafted products, plus there will be food trucks galore for you to grab a bite to eat from as you take in the live music and kapa haka from Te Aute College and Hukarere Girls College, as well as fire performances and glow poi from Elevate Studios. Please head here if you want to find out more information about our Night Markets or if you want to inquire about becoming a vendor.
