Five of the Inclusive Taekwon-Do athletes have been selected to represent New Zealand at the prestigious Inclusive Taekwon-Do World Championships in Italy this October — an incredible achievement that reflects years of dedication and hard work. This event is held in partnership with the International Taekwon-Do Federation and marks a significant milestone for our athletes and for New Zealand's representation on the global stage. These athletes are from Hastings and Napier area!

We’re incredibly proud to see the athletes’ hard work paying off, and we'd love to give them the best possible chance to succeed. However, as you can imagine, the costs involved with international travel, accommodation, and competition fees are significant.

This is where we’re hoping to gather the support of the wider Hastings business community.

Here’s an inspiring example — Paul Curtis, one of the selected athletes, has captured the hearts of many with his incredible journey. His story has already gone viral on social media:

The charity, the Special Needs Taekwon-Do Federation of New Zealand, is a registered charity (CC54949), which means any contribution can be claimed as a tax write-off for businesses.

With the event coming up in just a few months, there is a sponsorship package for businesses who are willing to support our athletes on this incredible journey. It would mean the world to them — and to the Taekwon-Do community — to have your backing.
